I began focusing on my spiritual journey in 2020 after experiencing a monumental loss within my family. At only 17 years old, my loved one was struck by a car as a pedestrian in front of her home. The driver fled the scene and she passed immediately due to the high rate of speed the driver was traveling.

This loss changed the trajectory of my entire life. Until that point in life, I had never lost someone as close to me as my Niece, Kirsten. Not only was she my niece, but she was my best friend. Our connection was special. From being best friends, to acting like sisters, to being a mother figure to her, we were extremely close since the day she was born. Experiencing this loss sparked my curiosity on the possibility of her energy and essence still lingering around. When the loss was fresh, I kept thinking back to grade school science class, “energy is never created or destroyed, only transferred” This thought was sufficient enough to give me hope that she was somehow still around.

I began researching as much as I could about the possibilities of life after death. I’d read stories of others navigating a grief journey, sure that they were receiving a sign from their departed loved one. Some of those instances seeming very hard to disprove that it was indeed a sign from spirit. Through my research, I discovered mediums, tarot cards, oracle cards, etc. It was as if a whole new world opened up for me.

The first tools I practiced with were cards. Luckily, my sister-in-law was into all of the things I had a new found interest in. At this point she had already been reading cards for several years. I quickly found myself eager to learn from her. It was all so exciting for me. This was one of the first times since my loved ones passing that I felt empowered and as if I had purpose again.

From there I practiced intuitive readings on myself, friends and eventually the public. It was so cool seeing how I would intuitively pick up on such specific things relevant to those I’d be reading for. After about a year and a half of strictly reading cards, I had a mediumistic experience of my own and started to wonder if there was possibly more to that there for me. I dove in deeper, learning as much as I could regarding evidential mediumship. I relied on self development, took a few classes, bought development books and eventually started working one on one with a mentor. Some would say I dove into working with a mentor too fast within my journey. However, this was a huge pivotal moment for my spiritual growth.

When I first started working with my mentor, Sarah I remember her saying early on that she felt my ability would unfold quickly. Boy, was she right. There was almost like a familiar feeling as I’d move into practice readings. It just clicked. I knew early on that this was something I was meant to do within this lifetime. After having several practice readings under my belt, I realized that there were many moments throughout early childhood and young adulthood that I had been experiencing spirit communication. I had not realized at the time what it was that I was experiencing. After all, according to Hollywood if you weren’t seeing full bodied apparitions in front of you, or partaking in lengthy conversations with spirit, you weren’t a medium.

Currently, I am still developing my ability. I have started to venture into specific “specialty” areas regarding reading types I provide. My current interests include psychic detective work. These readings are best for families of lost loved ones with unresolved questions regarding their loved ones passing. I have been lucky enough to have had an opportunity to work on one of these cases and hope to have other opportunities in the future. This is not a service that I currently offer.

My loved one inspired this work and lifestyle. I dedicate this work to her. In keeping her memory alive, all who are touched by the spiritual work I do contributes to her legacy. It is my absolute honor to name my work after her middle name, Rain. As this chapter in life for me accounts for everything I’ve experienced “After the Rain”
